Job Responsibilities, Senior Solar Installer
The ideal candidate will have high professional standards, a strong technical understanding of solar electric design, be comfortable communicating with customers and be computer proficient in mac and windows. Preference will be given to solar installers who are Licensed Electricians and those who have completed NABCEP certification or are currently in NABCEP training.
Candidates should be physically located in the region where installations are concentrated, in coastal, island, interior and Southern areas of Maine. Candidates from New England who are interested in relocating to Maine are strongly encouraged to apply.
Additional requirements of the job include the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and the ability to work efficiently on rooftops. In addition to having the capability to operate company vehicles and equipment in order to travel to job sites as needed, the candidate must have access to an insured personal vehicle for travel and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Location
Sundog Solar is located on Route 1 in Searsport, Maine between downtown Searsport and Stockton Springs. Our office and shop are across from Angler’s Restaurant (Searsport) near the road to Sears Island. We are approximately 10 minutes east of Belfast, 40 minutes west of Ellsworth, 40 minutes south of Bangor, and an hour east of Augusta.
