Outside Sales Representative

Job Responsibilities, Outside Sales Representative 

Sundog Solar’s outside sales representative will have a proven track record of sales success, building strong relationships with residential and commercial property-owners and delivering results.  Our sales representative will spend a majority of his/her time visiting on site with prospective customers. This position requires drive, self-motivation, the desire to help clients, confidence (without arrogance), ability to independently prioritize your workload, and a high degree of professionalism.

Overview

  • Develop sales and lead generation
  • Use online tools to develop solar system designs
  • Conduct analysis of customer’s current and projected electrical usage and financial ROI
  • Generate project proposals and quotes for customers
  • Communicate with project and design team throughout job completion
  • Log all communications with customers in CRM contact database
  • Drive additional duties as required or as business needs change

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of successful selling experience
  • Experience self-generating customer leads, exceptional follow up skills
  • A track record of achievement in beating quota, building a new book of business, growing a market, etc.
  • Must be highly proficient with computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
  • Motivated by high income potential, and making a difference
  • High integrity, able to put customers at ease
  • Flexible working some evening hours will be a plus
  • Four year college degree highly preferred, but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
  • Ability to work well with others  in a collaborative team environment
  • Valid state driver’s license, clean DMV driving record, and ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check

Full-Time Senior Solar Installer

Job Responsibilities, Senior Solar Installer

The ideal candidate will have high professional standards, a strong technical understanding of solar electric design, be comfortable communicating with customers, and be computer proficient in mac and windows. Preference will be given to solar installers who are Licensed Electricians and those who have completed NABCEP certification or are currently in NABCEP training.

Candidates should be physically located in the region where installations are concentrated, in coastal, island, interior and Southern areas of Maine. Candidates from New England who are interested in relocating to Maine are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional requirements of the job include the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and the ability to work efficiently on rooftops. In addition to having the capability to operate company vehicles and equipment in order to travel to job sites as needed, the candidate must have access to an insured personal vehicle for travel and maintain a valid drivers license.

Full-time and Part-Time Licensed Electrician

Sundog Solar seeks Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Electricians to join our team as Electrician specializing in Residential and Commercial electrical installations of Grid-Tied and Off-Grid Solar Electric systems and other renewable energy systems. Our growing company offers opportunity for advancement.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate high professional standards, a strong interest in renewable energy, and will be comfortable communicating with customers, and be computer proficient. Preference will be given to licensed electricians.

As a Master Electrician working for Sundog Solar, your primary responsibilities will be the following:

Have a current Master Electricians license in the state of Maine.
Be responsible for the AC and/or DC side of residential and commercial solar projects.

Solar Electric Systems/grid tied:

Secure necessary permits for residential and commercial work.
Make any arrangements with the utility company prior to installation date.
Lead AC installation including: balance of system (BOS) layout, inverter installation, conduit and wiring, service disconnects, grid intertie, voltage testing, and ensuring compliance with all NEC and AHJ requirements for solar systems.
Oversee the roof mounting of solar modules by other crewmembers.
Grid tied with battery backup systems, install and connect batteries to system.

Solar Electric Systems/off grid:

Installation including: balance of system (BOS) layout, inverter installation, conduit and wiring, service disconnects, charge controllers, voltage testing, and ensuring compliance with all NEC and AHJ requirements for solar systems.
Connect solar array(s) and module strings to charge controller and then to inverter.
Oversee the roof mounting of solar modules by other crewmembers
Install and connect batteries to system

Mini-split heat pumps:

Run 20amp and 30amp circuits for Multi-Zone and Single Zone systems including breakers, emt and GFI disconnects.

Electrician should also be able to comfortably lift 75lbs, climb ladders.
Must possess excellent teamwork skills
Licensed Electrician demonstrates commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Travel may be required
